More About Me

I went to Liberty University for a degree in Graphic Design with a minor in Creative Writing and formerly a minor in Business. I aim to put myself out there as an independent creator with the skills to design things that serve a purpose, not to just look pretty. My goal is to become either a freelancer graphic designer and publisher or to be hired on a team to work on any type of narrative creative content, such as movies, TV shows, and video games. In essence, I hope my work will be put to helping something bigger than myself.

Design Process

RESEARCH

When designing brands and projects, I like to put emphasis on research first. Design is all about communicating through images and graphics, so with that in mind, I always want to know more about the subject so that I can communicate them the best I can.

SKETCHING

The core part of the ideation process for my design work comes from the brainstorming sessions and the sketching. A good sketch will reward you with good design, so it is important to get a sketch that encompasses key elements of the design before moving on to the next stage.

DIGITAL DRAFTS

From applying sketches in Adobe Illustrator to designing brand collateral in Photoshop, this stage takes up the bulk of my time. Designing and refining the elements may take some time, but when the finished product is polished and eye catching, it makes it all worth the effort.

PRESENTATION

In this final stage, I take everything I have made so far and organize to present the material to the person or client. The goal is to showcase the effectiveness of the final product, communicate why it is the best solution to his/her proposition, and to present both the work and myself in a professional fashion.
