Drawings and Sketches
This is just a post dedicated to some of the sketches and drawings that I have done in the past.
Realistic Style
This is my favorite style of drawing, and it's the one I have been doing for the longest. Here you can see two sketches of a parakeet and a bee, and then you can see a completed drawing of a Northern Rosella. These came from using reference photos that I took myself, and I think they turned out nicely. The naturalistic form of drawing has always caught my eye, and the process of taking a pencil and paper and making something look real from that is very cool to me.
Stippling Style
This art style is relatively new to me, but I have been having fun with it for a while now. To the left you can see a weeping willow tree inspired by one my neighbor's pond back home. To the right there is an incomplete sketch of a marine iguana and two complete sketches of an nondescript moth and a kiwi bird. This style is fun to me because it opens up a lot more room for creative freedom with the shapes than the more ridge conventions of the realistic style.
