An Elegant Rebrand

This project is one of the biggest design campaigns I was a part of while I was a student at Liberty University. Opera on the James is a local opera house in downtown Lynchburg. As part of our curriculum, my team and I chose to redesign their brand in order to give it new life in the modern age. Our goal was to modernize the brand to attract a younger audience without alienating the organization's current devoted audience and sponsors. A

The Process Behind the Rebrand

After researching demographics for opera houses and the general Lynchburg area, we decided to go with an elegant, modern style redesign. Sophisticated and extravagant elements were incorporated into every detail, from the typography to the color scheme to the use of textured gold foil for business cards and handouts.

I have fond memories of this project thanks to the great teamwork that made it as good as it is. My teammates and I divided our work evenly among ourselves so that we could work towards our strengths while still working as a team. I worked most on the demographic research, imagery and style research, and the social media mock-ups.
